Genre: Teen Romance/pregnancy
The action of this novel picks up right from the start and does not let go.
Scarlet and Hallie have been best friends since they were 11yrs. Old. Hallie receives a call that Michael Sherwood has been killed in an auto accident. Michael was the summer time boyfriend of Scarlet, now that the school year is about here the absences of Michael lingers in the hallway. Halley starts school with the wrong school, and while visiting the counselor she meets Macon. Soon her and Macon are dating and having fun until Macon wants to take her virginity. Scarlet finds out that she is pregnant, with the decision of keeping the baby, adoption or abortion she decides to keep the baby.
I loved this book. It gave a sense of understanding. I did feel bad for scarlet, the first time she losing her virginity and ends up pregnant. I would give this book for out of five stars. I guess for me there really was no punishment from the parent in this novel. For me this was your typical teenage pregnancy book.
